Job Description
The Product and Portfolio Engineer is responsible for performing product management and providing engineering support to Production, Sales, Marketing and other groups as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Product Management
- Maintaining the bill of materials for product portfolio for accuracy
- Act as a lead in the organization for any material master updates and changes
- Responsible to maintaining list pricing and discount structure
- Maintaining and enforcing the pricing strategy for product portfolio within internal groups
- Communicating with other groups as necessary on product rationalization and updates
- Supporting the sales team as necessary for providing updates on pricing and product updates
- Creating work instructions and processes for all product management related tasks
Engineering
- Assists in the designs and development of Indoor air quality products
- Assists in conducting laboratory analyses of equipment for heat transfer, fan output, filtration efficiency and electrical safety
- Assists in the Design, Control and Calibration element of the company’s ISO quality system
- Provides engineering support to manufacturing;
- Interface with industry associations for certification requests or coordinating the product changes
- Interface with other internal groups to make necessary changes to literature and documentation
- Designs and performs product tests on newly developed products and existing products; documents test results and performs analysis
- Support Engineering change request process when launching new products
Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
- A university degree or college diploma from an engineering program with 2-3 years’ experience
- Excellent communication skills, ability to learn quickly and a team player
- Ability to use computer and data acquisition systems, including programming for engineering solutions
- Computer knowledge on Access database, AutoCAD, Inventor, Visio and ERP systems
