Responsibilities of the job:
- Provide problem-solving support to meet supply chain partner needs.
- Process orders, select carriers, negotiate rates and issue the necessary documentation.
- Ensure on-time pick-up of shipments, monitor them while in transit to ensure successful on-time delivery, as per customer expectations.
- Participate in the company Quality Management System, following, identifying and implementing improvements in processes, procedures.
- Ensure the highest standards of quality and uniformity in all transactions.
Job Requirements:
- Pursuing or recently finished an education related to Supply Chain Management, or someone with experience in Supply Chain practices.
- Time management and accuracy is essential in all transactions. Attention to detail is a must.
- An excellent rapport with all staff, suppliers, clients, and their vendors and customers
- Intermediate to Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Office Products.
- Exposure or experience with transborder, international transportation, Freight Forwarding is desirable.
- Business level communication skills in both written and verbal exchanges.
- Preference given to those with experience with TMS systems and other logistics software.
- Ability to win the respect and trust of customers, supplier, and staff.
- Works well in a team, able to prioritize and cope with the pressures of deadlines.
- Negotiation, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
