Facilities Management is responsible for the planning, development, construction, operation, maintenance and stewardship of all the buildings, infrastructure, sites and services within Western's campus community.  Our integrated Team provides excellence in creating and maintaining Western's facilities and in serving the community. 
 
The Human Resources Administrator reports directly to the Director of Business Operations and cross reports to unit Human Resources Specialists. The incumbent is responsible for a wide range of payroll and labour relations support accountabilities including administration of payroll for CUPE 2361 and IUOE, other FM staff, attendance management tracking and reporting, seniority lists, professional trades licenses tracking and other labour relations administration reporting. 
 
Qualifications 
Education:
-   College Diploma in Administrative Studies, with one course in accounting
-   Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certificate from the Canadian Payroll Association or willingness to complete within 18 months of commencement in the role
 
Experience:
-   3 years' administrative experience, preferably in a unionized environment
 
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-   Advanced computer skills including spreadsheet design, work processing and database management
-   Ability to establish effective routines for excellent communication with all members of the team to maximize productivity
-   Strong customer service skills to handle inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner
-   Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy
-   Ability to analyze and synthesize sizable amounts of data
-   Demonstrated working knowledge of payroll practices, University policies and procedures, government legislation, and relevant collective agreements (CUPE Local 2361, IUOE, UWOSA, PMA)
-   A strong record of teamwork with the motivation and ability to work independently with little supervision
-   Possesses a reputation for resourcefulness with a strong sense of accountability and initiative
-   Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
-   Ability to work in a manner that is compliant with confidentiality requirements
