Job Description
STIHL Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of ANDREAS STIHL AG & Co. KG in Germany, is a leader in the distribution of chain saws and handheld outdoor power equipment in Canada. Due to continued growth, we have an immediate opening at our London head office for a Casual AS400 Programmer/Analyst. This is a casual position, which would be suitable for an independent contractor seeking additional work.
There is an immediate need for assistance with a project that will require full-time hours for the next 2 – 3 months. Subsequent to the completion of this project, hours will vary, depending on business requirements.
The successful candidate will have analytical skills, be motivated and flexible with the ability to provide development and system support on an as-needed basis.
DUTIES:

Support an existing infrastructure of custom-developed applications and systems including Warehouse Management, Rate-Shop, Shipping, Reporting, Business-to-Business and Third-Party Warehousing

Work closely with the Information Systems Manager to design, develop and implement new solutions as required

Create documentation of enhancements and additions to the above systems
Qualifications:

Demonstrated AS400 iSeries programming expertise, minimum 5 years

Technical experience with RPG, CL, SQL, DDS, DB2

Fast learner with strong analytical, problem solving and creative skills

Able to analyze a set of symptoms, create a diagnosis and deliver a solution

Effective communication and collaboration skills

JDEdwards World experience an asset
