As we continue to grow, we have a need for the following position:

Date:                   June 20th, 2019

Position:             Manager Child, Youth, Families

Location:            Bostwick Community Centre, YMCA & Library

Start Date:         July 2019

Compensation: $37,000 - $45,000

Responsibilities: 
  • Develop, direct and implement new and current programs to attract children and youth to the Bostwick Community Centre, YMCA & Library
  • Liaise with external community groups and partners
  • Recruitment, training and development of staff, volunteers
  • Provides direction to all camp programming including summer, school year and break weeks
  • Prepare and manage participation and program waitlists seasonally as per demand
  • Development and maintenance of program plans including program evaluation and program inquiries
  • Preparation of a budget and ongoing management of the budget for the Child & Youth & Camp departments
  • Responsible for tracking expenses within the Child & Youth program area
  • Preparation and execution of payroll responsibilities
  • Direct program delivery on a consistent basis is required
  • Tracking statistical information as required

Qualifications & Experience:
  • 2 years post secondary degree/diploma in recreation leadership or related field
  • 2 years field experience with a minimum of 1year supervisory experience in managing front-line staff
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective organizational and planning skills
  • Must provide a Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector screening
