Responsibilities of the job:

• Ensures compliance with approved design standards to provide quality design, safety, constructability, reliable operation, and operating convenience.
• Design and/or specification of parts, components, or assemblies for use in current products.
• Design changes of existing parts to improve reliability, manufacturability or to reduce cost.
• Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.
• Measuring the performance of mechanical components, devices and engines.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing. professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Supports the engineering team and maintains a positive attitude.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effectively liaise with other members of divisional team, customers and outside suppliers.
• Ensure jobs are completed within the required time schedule.
• Driven to ensure all key performance indicator targets are met.
• Follow requirements as required by ISO registration.
   

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering – P. Eng
• 5-10 years of direct design experience.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and visualize in 3-D, blueprints, schematics and part lists.
• Experience working in Solidworks (Creo knowledge would be a bonus).
• Ability to work within a diverse team.
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to be flexible in hours of work in order to meet internal/external customer requirements including overtime.
• Demonstrate initiative, reliability and positive team attitude.
