Our client, located in Sarnia, Ontario is recruiting for a Library/Information Science Researcher for their London, Ontario location.

Our client is a leading specialty chemicals company employing 15,800 in 30 countries. The company is at present represented at 46 production sites worldwide. The core business is the development, manufacturing and marketing of plastics, rubber, intermediates and specialty chemicals.

Description of Duties/Key Projects:

The incumbent will be involved in the performance of comprehensive patent/literature searches in chemistry and polymer science, including searches in chemistry and polymer science, including patentability, freedom to operate, competitive intelligence and literature surveys. The incumbent will also participate in special projects, organize and maintain departments’ collection and perform archival and retrieval duties.

Education:

Minimum of a Master’s degree in Library/Information Science, Special Libraries area an asset

Experience:

Background in a scientific discipline (chemistry, chemical engineering, biology) is an asset
