Job Description

The People Bank Tillsonburg office is currently recruiting for a permanent Industrial Maintenance Millwright position for a very large manufacturing client.
This is a very demanding role in a very busy environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Detect and troubleshot irregularities and malfunctions; install machinery and mechanical equipment
  • Repair or place defective machinery parts; fabricate parts required during overhaul maintenance or set up
  • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery; practice and enforce safe lock-out procedures
  • Practice and maintain standard operating procedures and remain compliant with all quality, safety, production and environmental rules, standards and regulations
  • Be an active participant in meetings with production crews and operating personnel to resolve problems
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and equipment specifications and be committed to continuous improvement plans
  • Review work assignments and job procedures to ensure safe and reliable work execution
  • Initiate request for engineering support via close communication with supervision and actively participate in post event failure analysis and root cause discussions
  • Use and maintain hand and power tools and equipment, testing instruments for layout, cutting, reaming, threading, forming and bending, fastening, welding, soldering, grinding and leveling, wire and cable pulling, and rigging
  • Select and install hydraulic tubing, black piping, rubber and plastic hose assemblies including all couplings and fittings
  • Apply hydraulic and pneumatic theory to all industrial installations, repair and maintenance
  • Install, troubleshoot and repair compressed air systems and hydraulic systems
  • Assist all departments in TPM development and implementation, perform grid shifts and CNC set up as required
Skills & Qualifications:
 
  • Possession of valid Ontario Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification
  • 3 – 5 years millwright experience in a manufacturing environment
  • High level of computer literacy (proficient with Microsoft Office and familiar with computerized maintenance management systems)
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, technical and communication skills
  • Be willing and able to work 3 shift rotation, flexible hours and overtime as required
  • Automotive industry experience an asset
