Position: Radio Technician

Status: Permanent, Full-Time Position

The Radio Technician is responsible and accountable to the Branch Commander for the efficient and timely performance of the assigned duties and responsibilities. Specific responsibilities shall include but not limited to:

  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to current radio systems, mobile and portable terminal equipment, and accurate time synchronization for computer network systems.
  • Analyze, test, and install MDT equipment, software upgrades, and console interfaces.
  • Document and diagram any system changes and upgrades.
  • Maintain land line and RF communications between the LPS and other agencies.
  • Perform regular inspections of towers, antennas, wave guides, dehydrators, and grounding systems; and
  • All duties as assigned within the core competencies. 

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years post-secondary education in computer/electronics
  • 5 years pre-employment related experience

Salary:

$65,698 (starting) $88,932 (at 30 months)

Condition of Employment:
