Job Description

The Senior Finance Manager reports directly to the CEO of Natra Chocolate America and functionally to the Corporate CFO based in Spain.   The Finance Manager has a team that consists of an Assistant Controller, Administrative Assistant, and a Purchasing and Procurement Agent. The Finance Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive financial leadership to the company.   The Finance Manager functions as the leading accounting professional in the company and is responsible for the accurate reporting of results and maintenance of the company’s assets, through balance sheet integrity and providing a control environment.  The Finance Manager also serves as the business partner to the CEO and the liaison to the Corporate Officer while providing financial and operational leadership and reporting, improvements, including identifying and driving cost reductions.
 
Position Responsibilities -Accountable for ensuring balance sheet integrity, tax and other compliances and fostering a strong control environment in the company
·       Managing a complete and thorough month end close process
·       Being a strong example of integrity and ‘Doing the Right Thing’
·       Coordinates with functional corporate directors regarding treasury, accounting and controlling
·       Noting and appropriately mitigating business risks and proactively seeking and improving any deficiencies
·       Establishes the proper routines to ensure proper controls
·       Responsible for Cash management
·       Functions as a business partner with the CEO to effectively manage and control all facets of the company’s efficiency and productivity
·       Framing financial and operational issues in a complete business case format and positively contributing to the strategic direction in the company
·       Leading and/or participating in presentations to the local management committee
·       Manages others by providing ongoing development, mentoring, and strong learning experiences
·       Overseeing a team of four employees while providing effective leadership to staff, in order to improve their performance and directing their career development;
·       Managing finance department performance on improvement goals and KPI’s;
·       Provides operational financial reporting, financial analysis and manufacturing cost analysis:
·       Preparing, coordinating, and processing financial forecasting and planning requirements;
·       Monitoring financial performance to identify and drive cost reductions
·       Serving as project manager on cost reduction initiatives, working cross functionally operations management
·       Preparing and managing actual, forecast, and budget scenarios throughout the course of the year;
·       Analyzing and interpreting company operation results, evaluating variances, and assessing the effects on the company operations;
·       Performing month-end closing, reporting, and plant financial statement analyses;
·       Comply with local and corporate reporting requirements as necessary for plant and corporate management;
·       Providing local management group with the strategic tools and reports to drive business results;
Delegating day-to-day accounting activities to the Junior Controller and other administrative staff as appropriate
·       Delegating purchasing responsibility to the Procurement and Purchasing Agent
·       Performing standard cost accounting and inventory management
·       Responsible for the daily relationship with Financial Institutions
·       Daily coordination with Natra Corporate Finance department in Spain, regarding key finance deliverables
Education and Professional Experience
·       Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (CPA)
·       8 plus years of cost accounting/operations experience.in a food manufacturing/manufacturing environment
·       5 or more years of leadership/management experience.
·       Advanced expertise in all areas of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
·       ERP systems software, such as Microsoft Dynamics (AX) 2012 would be preferred
·       Spanish written and oral skills would be an asset
