Job Summary
The Shipper/Receiver is responsible to ship, receive, count and record the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment and stock. The ideal candidate will have experience with the management of inventory systems.

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible to ship, receive, count and record the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment and stock. The ideal candidate will have experience with the management of inventory systems.
Responsibilities & Essential functions:
- Pack, seal and label materials to prepare for shipping
- Prepare shipping documents for Canadian and International shipments
- Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of shipment
- Adhere to shipping and receiving policies/procedures and regulatory compliance procedures
- Determine shipping method for materials using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates
- Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials
- Maintain shipping and receiving area
- Deliver or route materials to other departments using material handling devices
- Utilize shipping related web services for scheduling freight
- Maintain company vehicles (cleaning, schedule vehicle maintenance)
- Assist with the implementation of 5S and organizational initiatives
- Attend employee meetings and safety talks as required
- Perform other tasks as required
Requirements
- Have a working understanding of Health & Safety best practice and OH&S Legislation
- Ability to perform physical labour for extended periods
- Have organizational & time management skills; attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and desire to accommodate requests
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High School Diploma
- Valid driver’s license (clean record)
- Forklift experience
- Crane experience
- Possess intermediate computer skills and competency in MS Word and Excel
- Experience with Jobboss would be considered an asset
- Mandatory police check/must pass controlled goods check
