THE POSITION:
The Technology Specialist II position is responsible for professional, friendly and first-rate communication alongside the delivery of our support services. This individual ensures that our clients are getting the best service they have ever experienced. If you have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and have the technical expertise to go along with it, we want YOU!

This role is vital to our support efforts and is meant to build upon your existing IT and communication skills. If you have 3+ years IT/Server experience and have 'IT', please send us your resume!


Job Requirements:

EDUCATION:
1. Diploma/Degree, with a technical major, such as engineering, computer science or Computer Systems Technologist is helpful.
2. Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Microsoft and Networking certification is an asset.
3. Applicants with an ITIL Foundations Certificate will be given preference.


COMMUNICATIONS/INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS:
1. Enjoy a fast-paced environment where initiative and motivation are keys to success.
2. Must have strong time management skills and can work productively unsupervised.
3. The ability to think independently and solve sometimes complex problems with little guidance is essential.
4. Effectively multitask and complete projects on schedule with minimal assistance.
5. Pride in workmanship. Proper cable management, for example, is important.
6. Interpret and/or discuss information with clients, which involves terminology or concepts not always familiar to them.
7. A true belief and commitment to providing OUTSTANDING customer service.


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
1. General desktop troubleshooting skills.
2. Windows Server administration is mandatory. This includes a full understanding of, and the ability to work with, DHCP, DNS, AD, GPO etc.
3. Solid knowledge and experience in HyperV virtualized environments. This includes being able to perform P2V, V2V and V2P migrations as well as live migrations, replication and failover.
4. Solid understanding of networking concepts and the ability to manage and configure a variety of industry standard routers, switches and VPNs.
5. Proven track record in administering MS Exchange Servers. On premise/hosted Exchange 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016 and POP/IMAP to O365 complete migration exposure is an asset.
6. Experience with Backup and Disaster Recovery platforms/technologies/concepts.
7. Exposure to VDI (Microsoft and/or Citrix)
8. Exposure to Microsoft Azure
