Job Description
Our client, a leading manufacturer in Stratford, ON has an immediate need for a full time Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join their Human Resources team!
As a key member of our Human Resources Team, you will be responsible for:
- Tracking and managing Associate attendance records
- Completing monthly headcount reports
- Benefits and pension administration including short and long term disability benefits
- Supporting new hire orientation
- Answering Associate’s questions regarding benefits, payroll or HR policies and procedures
- Processing hourly and salary payrolls on a bi-weekly basis
- Preparing bi-weekly and monthly remittances
- Ensuring compliance to payroll and employment standard regulations
- Setting up Associate records in Time and Attendance, ADP and HRIS system
- Preparing and verifying year-end T4’s and T4 summary
- Other duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications
- 2-4 years payroll inputting experience
- Post-secondary Diploma / Degree in business, accounting or Human Resources
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Outgoing, positive, energetic and supportive personality.
- Organized with ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities; deadline oriented
- Experience working in a team-based environment is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated aptitude for superior customer service.
