Job Description

ELLIOTT LAW is seeking a full-time permanent Real Estate Law Clerk or Legal Assistant - friendly, collaborative and faced paced work environment.

The main responsibilities for this role include:
 
  • Managing real estate files from inception through to final closing and reporting, including purchases and sales, bank/mortgage financings and re-financings.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Conduct all title searches, drafting requisition letters, preparation of title documents including transfers, charges and discharges.
  • Liaison with financial institutions, municipalities & title insurance companies.
  • Proficient in Teraview, Conveyancer/Unity and PCLaw.
  • Candidate must be highly organized, detailed oriented and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing accordingly
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work well under pressure

Further details regarding this position:
 
  • Competitive salary packages commensurate with experience.
  • All experience levels are encouraged to apply, however, a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Salary: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00.
  • Law Clerk diploma/certificate an asset.
