Personal Support Workers manage many different responsibilities related to the care of injured, ill or aging clients. This could include helping with bathing, dressing and feeding the client to taking care of household tasks that clients can no longer manage on their own. REQUIREMENTS:
  • Current PSW Certificate (or proof of Nursing student courses)
  • Proof of registration with the PSW Registry
  • Proficiency in the English language
  • Availability to work days, evenings, nights and every other weekend
  • A valid driver’s license and vehicle with proof of $1 M liability insurance
  • A willingness to attain required Saint Elizabeth certifications
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Effective problem-solving and conflict management skills
  • Ability to work well within a changing environment
  • A demonstrated appreciation for quality improvement processes
  • A current CPR/First Aid certificate
  • Strong computer skills are required & ability to use Blackberry (training provided)
