Job Description
Dispatcher
Dispatchers in the logistics industry are communication workers who receive information to plan, schedule, coordinate and track drivers and loads. If you’re a strong communicator and love being supportive and keeping things organized, we want your help.
Join a close-knit team as a Dispatcher where you will work to ensure drivers and freight reach their destination safely, while providing excellent customer service and support from start to finish.
What we offer
- Straight afternoon shift (2:00pm-10:30pm)
- No weekends
- Competitive salary of $20.00
- This position offers the ability to be permanent
- Weekly pay cheque
What you do
- Provide exceptional customer service in person, via phone and email to customers and drivers
- Scheduling, planning and coordinating pick-ups to Drivers
- Progressing and closing trips
- Trip Creation
- XRS support
- Create and maintain updated and accurate information in various programs
- Other duties as required
Who you are
- You possess a minimum 1 year in a Dispatching or similar role
- You possess strong keyboarding skills and are proficient in word, outlook and excel
- You are able to multitask and prioritize your work effectively
- You are able to communicate In English both verbally and written
- You are able to learn new software with ease; A1, DAC, XRS, Radius
