The Position
Our Senior Human Resources Manager will assume responsibility for all HR administration. You will:
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization’s HR function in areas including but not limited to: talent acquisition, diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, performance management, employee recognition, compensation and benefits, training, succession planning, organizational development, and risk management
- Full-cycle recruitment, with a focus on content writers and IT developers: creating, updating and posting job descriptions, screening candidates, conducting interviews, coordinating interviews with hiring managers, preparing job offers, conducting reference checks and ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience through on-boarding
- Develop appropriate policies and procedures which find the perfect balance between taking care of people and helping the company and maintaining our unique culture
- Build strong relationships with managers and employees by maintaining a proactive and visible presence
- Effectively coach/influence executive leadership in matters relating to people, HR processes and programs to help drive high performance teams
Your Qualifications
- University degree and post-secondary education in Human Resources, CHRP designation, or in the process of achieving designation
- A minimum of 5-7 years of HR Generalist or related experience. Minimum 3 years in a leadership role
- A track record creating and implementing high-quality human resource programs and strategies that have successfully scaled with rapid growth, preferably in a start-up
- You have created, led, and implemented high growth strategy initiatives
- Strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills; approachable, good relationship builder; strong customer service focus; leadership, organizational presentation skills
- Thorough knowledge of employment and related legislation (e.g. Employment Standards Act) and sound human resources practices
- Demonstrated ability to effectively partner/influence senior business leaders to drive strategic decisions while balancing the need for tactical execution of HR processes and workflows
- Must have worked in either a start-up OR a high-intensity environment that moved at a breakneck speed (and you will have good examples in your cover letter that illustrate this)
- Commitment to exceptional business ethics with a high degree of professionalism and integrity
- Exceptional business communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work the hours required of this role
