We require an experienced Quality Technician who will be responsible for auditing and measuring of the production part process working with Production and Process Teams in order to maintain Starlim’s high level of quality.
 
Additional responsibilities include:
  • Performing part inspections, both visually as well as variable measurements to insure a stable process and adherence to customer and Starlim specifications
  • Assist in measurement and testing for new and existing parts
  • Inspection of incoming and outgoing product
  • Scrap reporting
  • Maintaining data as required by the Starlim Quality System (SPC, Inspection Logs, etc.)
  • Serve as a technical resource to other cross functional team members
  • Maintain up to date records and knowledge of quality Systems TS16949
 
Do you have?
  • College diploma, apprenticeship or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Operational knowledge of quality inspection and documentation such as PPAP, FMEA, SPC, 8D, APQP, Control Plans, etc. (will be an asset)
 
Successful candidate will also possess:
  • Excellent vision – near vision acuity, colour vision
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Good oral and written communications
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Programs - Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Elementary understanding of ISO requirements
  • Ability to read part drawings and specifications
  • Must be able to work all shifts including days, afternoons, nights, and weekends
