LBMX is looking for a developer with UX\JavaScript skills to work with their web development team in maintaining existing software as well as designing and building new responsive products for general release to our existing customer base.

You will spend a significant amount of time working with directly with many members of the LBMX team to design and build user interfaces to be deployed in LBMX’s web environment.  Additional time will be spent connecting the newly designed screens to the back end code that is being developed by other members of the LBMX team.

Essential Skills:

  • 5 years’ experience and above - less experience will be considered if the applicant demonstrates the necessary skills and enthusiasm

  • Knowledge of User Experience and usability practices  and responsive design

  • A high level of knowledge building websites using HTML, JavaScript, JQuery

  • A high level of development knowledge building websites for mobile, tablet and PC based applications)

  • Familiarity with user interfaces that manipulate large volumes of data, quickly, using internet technologies

  • A high level of database programming experience with Microsoft SQL Server

  • Producing scoping and technical specification documents for web projects

  • Working knowledge of web standards

  • Experience with a version control system like TFS\SourceSafe

  • A solid understanding of informational architecture practices

  • Ability to gather, review and validate project requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast paced project team

  • A team player with good communication skills

  • Ability to lead a team of more junior level employees

     

    Assets:

  • A high level of familiarity with Microsoft development technologies

  • Previous experience creating\maintaining an online catalogue is useful

  • Knowledge of database programming with SQL Server

  • Knowledge of Agile development

  • Knowledge of HTML5

  • Some knowledge of VB, C# and application development is useful

  • Experience communicating with clients face-to-face
