Job Description
ESAC leads the electrical industry in innovative power system integrated solutions based on technology, service and value. We are seeking a driven, technically skilled professional with an enthusiasm for our Software & Graphics division. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of SQL, LAN/WAN communications, historians and HMIs for utility/generation integrated solutions
- Working with multidiscipline technical team to develop conceptual designs, estimates and proposals
- Perform system field research, analysis with studies, specifications, detailed technical design, development/fabrication, site installation, commissioning and reports
- Train technical staff, strategic clients and follow/improve application process for quality deliverables on time and on budget
- Divisional manager assigned projects group execution as primary client and subcontractors interface for technical and project management ensuring overall quality assurance and success
- Support and backup divisional manager to mentor and lead staff, generate reports for management monitoring profitable and harmonious work environment achievement
Qualifications
- Computer or software professional engineer licensed in Ontario and Microsoft Certified Professional, with minimum 10 years knowledge/experience
- Extensive knowledge in serial/Ethernet communications, LAN/WAN with VPN, SQL, historian and HMI SCADA software for utility power or industrial applications
- In depth knowledge of real-time systems overall communications, Modbus/DNP3 protocol, converter/concentrator and user interfaces
- Experience in programming languages Java, Python and Microsoft Visual Basic (VB)
- Proven experience in virtualized computing environments
- Proficient with SEL, GE, Autocad, Microsoft server/workstation and Office Applications
- Excellent project team participation, technical adapting, speaking and writing skills
- Strong attention to detail, high degree of accuracy in work and organizational skills
- Must be self motivated to learn new skills, assume new responsibilities and work cooperatively in a team environment
