Seeking an
"Estate / Will Law Clerk"
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years relevant experience. Ideally they will also have their Law Clerk Diploma (or similar post secondary education). The person will be self-confident, enthusiastic, flexible, and will enjoy a thriving, fast-paced, deadline driven team environment.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Preparing court documents for certificate of appointment applications
- Assisting estate trustees with ongoing estate administration matters
- Drafting reporting letters
- Meeting with estate clients and preparing estate and trust accounting.
- Preparing Will and Power of Attorney documents as well as trust agreements (with minimal instructions)
- Being a key contact person for servicing of Estate / Will and Power of Attorney clients
The following skills and attributes are necessary:
- Possess a strong understanding of estate administration including preparation of estate accounting
-Strong computer skills
-Excellent time management and problem solving skills
-Strong organizational skills with the ability to take initiative/be proactive
-Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
-Detail oriented
-Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines
-Ability to juggle multiple demands and properly judge priorities
-Highly client serviced
