Reporting to the Warehouse and Shipping Manager – Ontario Depots, the Shipping Supervisor monitors operations of the Warehouse(s) to ensure that quantitative and qualitative measures included in the operation are tracked and met. The Warehousing and Shipping Supervisor will need to ensure topics related to health and safety, operating costs, cost reductions, productivity, good manufacturing practices, sanitation, customer satisfaction, procurement and staffing are all monitored for their warehouse(s). This person will need to work and understand all aspects of the business from production, transportation, distribution, IT, sales and customer service to facilitate the movement of product through our network and the role each department plays.
 
More specifically, the Supervisor:
 

• Work with employees and Woodstock operations team to ensure that the expectations of the operation and costs associated are met. Provide the leadership and guidance to these partners each and every day to help them achieve our expectations;
• Manage projects from time to time as business needs change and evolve;
• Ensure key performance indicators are tracked, analyzed and addressed as required;
• Manage all aspects of the warehouse as required (H&S, Maintenance, Inventory Control, Staffing, etc.);

 
The success candidate will be expected to be a self-motivated, responsible, problem-solving, team oriented person who will work with all aspects of the business to ensure we meet our customer’s high expectations.
 
 

Requirements

• Some experience with Oracle and WMS is an asset.
• University degree in Operations Management, Logistics, Engineering or in a relevant field;
• Experience in a supervisor role directly involved in shipping and warehousing, preferably with refrigerated, limited shelf life food product;
• Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, leadership skills and the ability to work in a team environment;
• Strong computer literacy, ideally with MS Office (Word & Excel);
