Pay Rate: $20.50-$27.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Machinist Responsibilities
- Works with team on floor activities for machine's operation on the shift, completing work assignments congruent with operations schedules and communicated goals for the shift.
- Setup and operate five head wood moulder
- Position and secure working pieces on machines, measuring instruments and other tools to operate machine efficiently and safely to perform moulding operations from start to finish.
- Focus on continuous improvement through the application of lean manufacturing principles and quality control practices.
- Responsible for meeting quality requirements and maintaining quality standards for specific area of responsibility.
- Inspect product for defects and work closely with co-workers and quality team members to identify root-causes and corrective actions to maintain Masonite quality standards.
- Knowledge of architectural specifications and wood products.
- Understand door construction, stile and rail, frames and specialty flush door is required.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine programming parameters.
- Perform machine adjustment calculations
- 5 head Moulder knowledge and experience will be considered a strong asset.
- Minimum high school diploma or a two-year technical degree (or equivalent work experience), that includes ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Previous experience in a production facility, home building supplies industry or a manufacturing environment is an asset. 3-5 years of manufacturing experience preferred
