HVAC Applications Engineer

Randstad Engineering is recruiting for an Applications Engineer on behalf of our client located 1 Hour East of London. Operating in over 45 countries and offering a wide range of R&D solutions to manufacture and market high-quality ventilation products.
Salary is negotiable based on experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Liaise with North American customers involving the purchase and engineering of energy recovery ventilators and vertical air handlers
•    Read and interpret job specs and mechanical schedules for quotation
•    Development of accurate project quotations intended for the bid process with engineering firms and school boards
•    Enter request for quote (RFQ) into CRM Database
•    Track customers in CRM for project updates
•    Configuring design based on requirements
•    Creating detailed mechanical schedules for submittal packages for review by engineering
•    Determine performance requirements based on CFM, voltage and physical aspects
•    Developing accurate quotes based on units required
•    Communicate with engineering on questions about performance and capabilities

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
•    Mechanical Engineering, Technologist or related education is an asset
•    Working knowledge of various system design and technical software, fan selection, coil design and selection, thermodynamics and psychometrics
•    Self-motivated with plenty of ambition and drive
•    Ability to excel in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
•    Team Player with a focus on quality and strong multi-tasker
