Job Description
SE Freight Systems Inc. is currently seeking a Fleet Coordinator to join our team.
We are a logistics company that has been in the transportation industry for over 19 years supporting the automotive sector.
Fleet Coordinator
The Fleet coordinator will be responsible for the maintenance, rental, leasing and servicing of SE Freight Systems Inc. fleet in several of our locations. The main focus of this role is to control damages and follow up with the vendors and customers to recover costs to our damaged equipement. Responsible for reporting to the Fleet Manager.
Job Responsibilities include:
Repsonsible for controlling costs on repairs and damages by following up with vendors and customers to recover costs to our damaged equipment - responsible for creating a tracking system, managing past damage losses and recovering costs and ensuring the drivers follow proper procedure for damage control maintenance
Responsible for maintenance repair requests investigations and follow up
Responsible for getting equipment back up and running in the most efficient and cost effective manner
Responsible for enforcing the maintenance policies and processes setting clear guidelines with drivers, dispatch and company
Coordination of repairs between vendors, suppliers and leasing/rental companies
Repair verification and follow up
Cost control on repairs
Ordering parts and comparing quotes or estimates with vendors
Identifying reoccurring problems with units and developing solutions
Work with Fleet Manager to resolve vendor and service center issues
Responsible for handling haul breakdown issues
Responsible for truck plating, IRP plating, ordering transponders, bridge cards, FAST transponders
Managing repairs and training of satellite communications systems
Monitoring fuel pricing and fuel consumption/efficiency
Assists with driver correspondence and field calls from drivers
Responsible for vehicle and trailer license renewals, inspections
Completing daily yard checks and daily allocation verification with dispatch schedules
Responsible for all fleet equipment, data entry and maintenance updates
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of fleet maintenance experience
Organized, detail oriented, dependable individual, continuous improvement minded
Ability to communicate with various levels of employees - drivers, dispatchers, management and vendors
Excellent time management, organizational and multi tasking skills
Intermediate Word, Excel and Outlook skills
