GKN Sinter Metals is the world's leading supplier of metal powder precision components. Our automotive manufacturing facility located in St. Thomas, is currently looking for Production Operators. Hourly start rate for this position is $20.03.

Responsibilities

• Loads/unloads presses, furnaces, and automated conveyance systems in accordance with work instructions
• Visually Inspects parts to ensure they meet the required production rates and quality standards
• Performs various quality inspection checks and records information in the Company required systems.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area
• Performs other related duties as required by supervision

Qualifications:

• Must have high school diploma or GED as a minimum
• Must be capable of lifting up to 45 lbs
• Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Must be physically capable of gripping/pushing/pulling/bending
• Must have good eye/hand coordination and strong attention to details
• Must be able to visually inspect parts for defects
• Basic math and computer skills are required
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience is preferred
• Must be a positive team player
• Must have strong oral communication skills
• Must be able to work all three shifts (days/afternoons/midnights)
• Current Criminal record check must be supplied upon job offer
