2D Artist

Location: London, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid Work Model)

In this position, these are the things you will be responsible for:

• Collaborate with the Art Director, UX Designer and other departments to help define intuitive and compelling user experiences.
• Create exceptional user interface visual 2D assets for all our video games that meet the game direction and quality specifications.
• Create product-quality 2D UI art assets, including icons, buttons, and fonts.
• Create concepts, mockups, and prototypes for UI art.
• Work directly with project leads to help visualize and develop game designs.
• Support the growth of new or enhanced art development tools and techniques.

To be an effective team member, you will have:

• 2 or more years of experience in a 2D UI artist production role for interactive entertainment, video game preferred.
• Proven artistic and technical skills in both 2D and 2D UI art production.
• Strong iconography skills.
• Proven proficiency with commercial 2D art production software (E.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).

You also have the following attributes and skills:

• Self-directed.
• A clear communicator.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a team.
