The Application Engineer/Technologist will be responsible with defining, designing, and implementation of remote monitoring solutions, working with our clients and internal development teams. The candidate will be able to understand a technical project/problem and implement a solution based on ZTR’s products, services and development capabilities.

Responsibilities
 

• Work with clients, Sales and Project Managers to capture and define application requirements
• Assist the Business Development and Sales teams in drafting and issuing proposals and project budgets.
• Design technical and service solutions for remote monitoring applications
• Develop technical specifications and documentation
• Work with Project Managers and development teams to produce project plans
• Act as the technical point of contact for a project
• Manage the technical constraints of a project or solution
• Liaison with internal development teams on technical and project management issues.
• Work with clients and installation teams to commission monitoring systems in the field Project Management of assigned projects.
• Provide regular updates to senior management and potentially client

 
Qualifications
 

• Engineering degree or Technologist diploma in Electronics, Computer, or Control
• Minimum 3 years experience
• Proven leadership skills – positive attitude, persuasive, innovative, encouraging and motivating
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and manage strong team dynamics and work with complex cross-functional teams
• Proven ability to drive project to successful completion, as well as the ability to set and manage priorities judiciously
• Strong customer management and presentation skills
• Exceptionally self-motivated, directed and detail-oriented
• Ability to read and understand engineering documents and contracts
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Visio
• Occasional travel required, primarily US.
