Our client, a manufacturing facility in the London, Ontario area is looking to add a full time Occupational Health Nurse to their team.
 

Job description/duties

• Responsible for the first aid room, provide treatment; evaluate/assesses injuries/disease
• Maintains medical supplies and equipment in the first aid room and first aid kits located throughout the facility
• Assists with early and safe retune to work
• Short Term disability management; provide employee with STD paperwork, initiate claim and provide supervisor/managers with regular updates.
• Conduct Accident/Hazard investigations
• Follow up with employees seen in the first aid room
• Run wellness programs

Potentially run

• Flu clinic - provide flu vaccines
• Annual lead in blood draws
• Pre-placement medical examinations

Experience

• Ideally a minimum of three years as an Occupational Nurse within a manufacturing or warehouse distribution environment
• Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety Insurance Board (WSIB) and Short Term Disability (STD)
• Practical Nurse Certificate
