Plumbhouse Plumbing, Heating & Electrical, is currently looking for a full-time Licensed G2 Gas Fitter to join their team.

Opportunity
Plumbhouse Plumbing, Heating & Electrical, is currently looking for a full-time Licensed G2 Gas Fitter to join their team.
Responsibilities and Hours of Work
- Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with on-call rotation (one week a month)
- Respond to calls from the dispatch team
- Maintain company vehicle – operate safely and preserve cleanliness
- Provide advice to customers about standards, safety features and maintenance equipment
- Complete work orders as per client specifications and input; review completed job with customers to ensure satisfaction
- Study drawings and specifications to determine the layout for installation and materials required
- Measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines and equipment
- Install, repair and service furnaces, boilers, water heaters, fireplaces and A/C units and their components, such as burners, valves, and automatic controls
- Test and replace defective equipment or components
- Test and adjust control mechanisms and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices
- Prepare reports on work performed and condition of equipment

- $25 - $35/hr based on experience
- $2000 signing bonus – after 4-month probationary period

What you offer
- G2 Gas Fitter license
- 3-5 years of relevant Gas Fitter experience
- Experience working with furnaces, boilers, fireplaces, and water heaters
- Previous experience analyzing equipment operations to determine repairs and cleaning needed
- Comfortable working with combustion analyzers
- Experience working on residential A/C units is an asset
- Valid 'G' driver's license and clean driving history
- Able to communicate clearly and read, write, and speak English fluently
- Punctual and dependable
- Team player – able to collaborate with team members to provide high-quality customer care
- Capable of working in residential and commercial settings
- Knowledge of high-rise apartments is an asset
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Committed to quality, safety, service, and customer-focused service
- Analytical – able to identify problems and determine customer-focused solutions
- Comfortable with technology – used to create work orders and complete timesheets
