Project Production

  • Must be fluent in Chinese
  • Build and sustain relationships with third party vendors (i.e. XSI, Lightwave, etc.) that may affect development
  • Work with Producers to determine work overflow and areas in need of management such as art outsourcing
  • Manage individual’s day-to-day project schedules; meet regularly with Leads and team members to review status of the project and proactively follow-up on outstanding issues
  • Update project plan on a regular basis
  • Meet with Producers and GM on a regularly scheduled basis to review/update overall status of project
  • Proactively identify risks/roadblocks/bottlenecks associated with meeting project milestones; work with to ensure necessary steps are taken to resolve issues which may impede progress or compromise project’s objectives
  • Prepare monthly project progress reports and review against overall project plan/schedule
  • Report to GM on progress, budgets, risks and issues
  • Work with leads, to determine technology needs for the project
  • Work with leads, and HR to determine staffing needs for the project

Preferred Extras:

  • Console experience; next-gen preferred
  • Familiarity with large-scale C++ project development
  • Passion for making and playing great games
  • Strong technical experience or equivalent game development experience.

Team Management

  • Day-to-day management and motivation of team members together with Leads
  • Regularly schedule meetings with appropriate team members to ensure project plan is on track and to anticipate any potential milestone issues
  • Coordinate with leads and the teams on the generation and supply of marketing assets as defined by the schedule
  • Liaise with PR Director to ensure marketing/PR requests are dealt with swiftly
  • Carry out production tasks as may be required by the Producer
  • Consult on annual appraisals and review for the team
  • Respectfully manage unsatisfactory employee situations in a professional manner
  • Build a respectfully objective, encouraging atmosphere for ideas and creativity in a structured environment
