Job Description
Be part of a dynamic, not-for-profit organization committed to providing a diverse array of services to individuals with complex needs within three distinct service areas; adolescent females who are deemed “in need of protection”, youth who are in trouble with the law and at risk in the community and individuals with developmental and/or physical challenges.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing supports, within a residential setting, to adults with developmental, physical, and behavioural challenges. Shifts will be variable in nature, including mornings, evenings, weekends and overnight shifts.
Qualifications:
Work Location: Hull Road Residence - Strathroy, ON
Starting Wage: $18.52 per hour + 4% vacation pay

Qualifications:
- Demonstrated understanding of support requirements specific to individuals with developmental, physical, and behavioural challenges
- Able to establish therapeutic relationships on the basis of respect and trust
- Willingness to promote our Corporate philosophy
- Support individuals with daily living while pursuing leisure and recreational opportunities
- Ability to write clear, concise observations of behavior
- Advocate on behalf of individuals to achieve goals
- Proven computer skills, Microsoft Office preferred
- Ability to use sound judgment and make independent decisions based on Policies & Procedures
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem solving skills; attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work well as part of the team
- A valid Ontario (G) Driver’s Licence, current Police Records Check & Vulnerable Position Screening, Standard First Aid & CPR Certificate, CPI Certificate
- Post Secondary in a related field or equivalent
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in residential services supporting individuals with developmental, physical and behavioural challenges
