With our global client base, our employees occasionally have the opportunity to travel to exciting events.  We are now looking for a Shipper/Receiver & Inventory Clerk to join our fun and vibrant team!

The successful candidate must be extremely organized, but flexible enough to work in a fluid and fast paced environment that includes a variety of skill levels and personalities. Key traits for the successor include but are not limited to:  self-motivated, proactive, extremely organized, willingness to help others and have great customer service skills.  The hours of work are Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm in our London office.  We are also located just off a main bus route. 

Areas of responsibility

Inventory Management

This function of the role will account for approximately 80% of the position.   You will use a miniMRP system to ensure all items are up to date with respect to engineering, production and sales requirements.

  1. Maintain inventory of parts.  Organizational skills are critical aspect for this job!
  2. Support engineering for components required by the team
  3. Production kitting
    1. Ensure adequate inventory of all base components as required by production
    2. Ensure adequate inventory of sub-assemblies are available for all products
    3. Release subassemblies to production as per production requirements
  4. Facilitate staged builds
    1. Fulfil BoM for outsourced assemblies
    2. Manage components that require multiple process, i.e. machining, anodizing, laser etching, part placement.
    3. Sub-assemblies which require component kits and/or multiple processes to complete. Certain items will be in various states during the production process and require multiple shipments before the sub-assembly is complete.
    4. Schedule internal inspections for outsourced items like; bare circuit boards, populated circuit boards, product cases, etc.
  5. Completed product
    1. Report on inventory counts of finished product in the miniMRP system
    2. Complete a year-end physical count of all inventory

Shipping Receiving

Attention to detail is a top qualification for this position as it involves lists of numbers that require absolute accuracy.

  1. Complete regulatory documents for international shipping
  2. Ensure bills of laden and packing slips are accurate
  3. Document and provide billing information for shipping to Accounting or Sales as required
  4. Enter “new order” inventory serial numbers in the CRM
  5. Enter shipping info in CRM and tracking files
  6. Ship products via best possible methods for delivery time, balanced against cost
  7. Provide tracking and notifications to Customer and Sales in a timely manner
  8. Build relationships with customers as required
  9. Administrative tasks as required

Minimum Skills

  • High school diploma/GED required.  Post Secondary preferred. 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • 5+ years’ experience shipping and receiving.  Knowledge of shipping internationally and electronics a bonus!
  • 2+ years inventory management
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds at a time unassisted
  • Strong computer skills (Windows, Outlook, Word and Excel)
