Automotive Production Supervisor

About our Client:
It is our great pleasure to be involved in the recruitment process for one of our newest clients in southwestern Ontario. On behalf of an automotive manufacturer in Tillsonburg; we are presently recruiting for an experienced Production Supervisor to work in an automotive manufacutring environment.  Expected start date for this position is ASAP.

 

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ROTATING SHIFTS (days with afternoons biweekly)

               The wage is $20.00-$24.00/hr + 4% vacation pay - direct deposit paid weekly

Reporting to the Site Manager, general responsibilities are:  

·          Providing leadership to Production Associates and Material Handling Associates in accordance with meeting daily goals.

·          Acting as a liaison at customer site to facilitate problem resolution.

·          Recording any non-standard processes on the appropriate documents & consistently following QS 9000 standards.

·          Provide accurate daily reports reflecting performance in regards to meeting daily goals.

·          Reporting all safety and quality concerns to the Site Manager.

·          Reporting all occurrences of downtime or equipment malfunction to the Site Manager.

·          Supporting team members in meeting daily goals with regard to continuous improvement, scheduling, quality, safety and cost.

·          Obeying safety rules and to exercise caution in all work activities to comply with all Occupational Health and Safety legislation.

·          Training employees in job duties, safety and quality procedures & enforcing company policies.

·          Establishing methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with the client, Site Manager and other team leaders.

·          Co-ordinating and monitoring the movement of parts, supplies and materials within an establishment.

·          Ensure all documentation, hardcopy or electronic, is completed properly and completely and turned into the designated personnel in a timely manner.

·          Resolving work problems and recommending measures to improve productivity, product and systems quality.

 

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, applicants will need to have:

·          A high school diploma or equivalency (post secondary education is an asset)

·          3 years relevant experience in an automotive production facility

·          Excellent organizational and effective communication skills

·          Previous work experience  & a basic understanding of ISO Standards

·          Performing in a just-in-time (JIT) environment

·          Ability to mentor and stimulate reporting associates

·          Computer literacy
