StarTech.com is currently looking for a Buyer to join our Supply Assurance team at our Corporate Office in London, Ontario. 

Reporting to the Manager, Supply Chain, the Buyer makes an impact by maintaining product availability levels, Purchase Order management and validation, and strengthening vendor relationships in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment. This position offers a competitive salary, bonus potential, and benefit package.

 What You Will Gain 

• Building relationships with a group of international vendors
• Preparing and submitting PO’s based on forecasts, sales and requests
• Managing product availability across three warehouses by monitoring stock levels and transfers, initiating expedites, and recommending adjustments to inventory control policies
• The opportunity to identify and implement best practices

 What You Can Show Us

• Post-secondary education in Purchasing or Business
• SCMP, APICS or PMAC designations (an asset)
• Purchasing experience with exposure to international vendors and customs requirements (an asset)
• An ability to deal with changing priorities, while maintaining excellent attention to detail
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (V-lookups, Pivot tables)
• ACCPAC or other ERP exposure
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
