Position Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in the Purchasing Department. The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the movement of purchased materials from suppliers.
The Purchasing Coordinator position includes coordinating store requirements aligned with sales forecasts and will be responsible for maintaining and creating new relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
- Inputting and generating purchase orders.
- Data entry.
- Report analysis.
- Extracting information from supplier web sites.
- Review supplier packing slips.
- Price comparisons between suppliers.
- Maintain control over inventory levels based on sales forecasts.
- Meet internal and external demand of product.
- Identify discrepancies between shipments and orders and take necessary action.
- Communicate all delays or variances of inbound freight to the appropriate locations.
- Interact and negotiate with suppliers.
Requirements
- Post Secondary Diploma in Purchasing.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Purchasing or related field.
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills.
- Excellent teamwork and team building skills.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- High level of proficiency with strong knowledge of Microsoft office and data entry.
- Time Management and deadline oriented.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Strong customer service focus.
