Reporting to the Finance manager, the Finance Assistant is responsible for the transactional accounting as well as the preparation and analysis of monthly and year-end financial statements and management reports.

Responsibilities include, and but are not limited to:
 

• Generating and reviewing customer invoices
• Matching accounts payable invoices and receiving documentation
• Entering accounts payable invoices into our ERP system
• Matching vendor invoices and payments
• Reception back up
• Ad hoc projects as required
• Other duties as assigned

 
 
Skills & Abilities:
 

• You are a team-oriented, flexible and resourceful individual with the ability to work well autonomously with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail to ensure work is accurate
• Good communication skills are required as this individual will interface with a wide variety of staff, management, customers and vendors
• Thinks innovatively to suggest process improvements and efficiencies

 
Qualifications:
 

• Must have post-secondary education and/or past experience in an accounting role
• Must be hardworking with a desire to learn
