Mechanical Engineering – Technical Writer
Our Client in North London is currently seeking a Technical Writer to join their dynamic team in an exciting opportunity
Job Description
• Determine, develop and obtain source data necessary to produce illustrated parts or operator/maintenance manuals.
• Develop/write procedures as part of overall development of illustrated parts or operator/maintenance manuals.
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints and subcontractor data.
• Generate accurate illustration requests to support technical manual development.
• Review change requests to determine level of impact to technical manuals.
• Liaise with LE groups and other staff for inputs and results of evaluations.
• Assist in updating stat logs.
Required Qualifications
• University degree or 3 year technologist college diploma (technical).
• Experience in writing technical manuals.
• Demonstrated high levels of written and oral communications skills, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with SGML/XML, SlicWave and working in a Content Management System (CMS).
Due to the nature of the position, successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program, including, but not limited to, the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance to secret level.
