Please note, this is a 1-year temporary part-time contract opportunity.  This position is located in the Medicine Department at the Victoria Hospital campus.

The Education Assistant will provide assistance to the Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases' medical education program. Reporting to the current Program Director of Infectious Diseases' - Dr. Sameer Elsayed - the incumbent is responsible for administrative functions associated with the Division Residency training/education program and will work closely with the Program Administrator, Program Director, as well as the Division Chair. 

Qualifications 
Education:
-   1 year Community College Office Administration Diploma

Experience:
-   2 years recent related educational experience
-   1 year experience in an academic medical setting that involves residents, medical students and Faculty members
-   Experience coordinating and scheduling (rotations, vacations, orientation, scheduling weekly seminars, preparing monthly rounds & tracking sessions) for Medical Education

Skills & Expertise:
-   Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One45 software and website maintenance)
-   Excellent keyboarding skills (min 65 wpm)
-   Knowledge of London Health Sciences environment, policy and processes preferred
-   Knowledge of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, PAIRO and CaRMS policies and procedures
-   Demonstrated effective organizational skills involving time management and prioritization
-   Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
-   Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as a part of an interdisciplinary team
-   Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, and ability to manage change in a dynamic environment
-   Professional manner, tact, diplomacy and discretion in dealing with associates and colleagues including senior management
