Positions:                    Children’s Program Representative (two positions)
Location:                     London (managed out of our Centre Branch location)
Wage:                           $15-17 per hour                                                               
Responsible to:         Alicia Clow-Ennis, Child and Youth Program Manager
Closing Date:             September 28, 2014

 

 
Details:            

This role is a part-time position that will be 3 day time shifts per month during the Catholic Board School Year.  The program staff will                                       develop and deliver active programming to school age children (SK through Grade 8) at three local Catholic Schools (St. Anne, St. Roberts,  St. Pius). The Y is providing a physical activity component to complement a local Nutritional program being held at three London Catholic Schools.
 
                        
 
Shifts:              3 day shifts per month
                               9am to 3:30pm
 
Start Date:       October 6th 2014
 
 
Responsibilities
  • Develop 40 minute lesson plans that are focussed on getting school age kids children active (SK through Gr 8)
  • Develop activities participants can bring home and use to be active with their families
  • Serve each member, participant, potential member, volunteer and staff with prompt courteous service when they visit in person or on the phone.
  • Deliver youth programming to Y SAM standards (child minding, youth recreational time, sport specific an asset)
  • Provide assistance and information to each member, participant, potential member, volunteer and staff.
  • To work efficiently and proactively with all departments to ensure excellent communication regarding all programs and services.
  • To support and work as part of a staff/volunteer team to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Ensure immediate communication of escalated member issues to Membership Manager and/or Coordinator.
  • Promote membership sales and services in a positive and professional manner.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of membership area and lounge area.
 
Qualifications
  • Previous experience leading children’s programs
  • Current Y employee or volunteer an asset
  • Fitness Leadership Certifications an asset
  • Clear Criminal reference Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR
