Job Description
Our client located in the London, ON region is in search of a Process Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist all Production Department implementing new tools and methods for work flow improvements
• Implement plant improvements (cell work layouts, process flow, plant layouts, time and motion studies, etc.)
• Contribute to productions meetings in scrap reduction plans and process efficiency improvements
• Assist in the estimating process for engineering changes on current model programs
• Participate in APQP meetings and resolve quality/process issues (8D) in liaison with Quality Department
• Develop work instructions and operating procedures for equipment
• Train operators on new equipment, tooling, and processes
• Promote and support principles of Lean Manufacturing and all related initiatives
Desired Education and Experience:
University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Manufacturing Engineering
Experience with automated and manual paint lines
Experience in programming and troubleshooting problems with Fanuc RJ3 and ABB 6 axis robots
Experience in programming Allen Bradley SLC 500 series PLC, Siemens PLC’s
Process engineering experience in thermoforming of PVC or TPO materials
