Role Overview
As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will support the production department in the areas of technical problem solving, be involved in new process and equipment implementation and assist in the initial training and documentation of work instructions
- You will identify and implement cost saving proposals through process, equipment, and tooling improvement recommendations
- Your primary goal is to assist, support and implement the manufacturing processes, including conducting cost and capacity analysis, identifying cost improvements, problem solving, tool trials, while supporting quality, Health & Safety and training initiatives
- This position requires a hands-on approach, customer follow-up and travel
- Engineering Degree or Diploma or 5 years’ equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment with preference given to eperience with CNC machines and assembly equipment
- Effective communication and extremely solid interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated skills in problem solving using standard techniques
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Familiarity with ISO/TS quality systems and procedures that apply to engineering
