Reporting to the Application Development Manager in this exciting opportunity, you will undertake the following:
 

• Act as Primary Developer on small to medium projects with support and guidance from Application Development manager
• Collaborate with cross functional teams, both internal and external users and departments
• Research, develop and design in accordance with system architecture and defined SDLC process.
• Translate and code software programs and applications from
  • Business Requirements Documents
  • Predefined Architecture and Design patterns in an environment using Visual Studio 2008, Microsoft SQL Server 2008.
• Develop and maintain unit testing systems and documentation
• Develop and maintain required Support Documentation
• Provide support of developed software in all environments including production
• Liaise with network administrators, senior programmer analysts to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems

Requirements
 

• College diploma in Programming/Application Development or University degree in the field of Computer Science or Software Engineering or commensurate job experience
• Minimum 3 years development experience
• Demonstrated experience with the following: ASP.net, C#, .net   Experience with VB 6.0,), Crystal Reports XI, and ColdFusion are an asset.
• Experience with SQL programming  (including TSQL and SSIS) and relational database design
• Experience designing and developing web-based software applications
• Demonstrated solid understanding of software design principle and internet technologies
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to relay technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audience
• Certifications in Microsoft Technologies or appropriate toolsets are considered an asset
