Randstad Engineering is seeking a Junior-Intermediate Draftsperson/Designer for our client located in London, Ontario. The successful candidate will assist the Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Department in the drafting of buildings in the residential, commercial, institutional and industrial sectors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support the design and engineering team in producing drawings for permit and construction
• Assist with engineering analysis, evaluations, designs and implementation for mechanical and electrical systems
• Work through construction support issues with design team and contractors
• Ability to work both independently and within the project group to facilitate the design requirements to reach project completion
• Lead special project tasks to help promote efficiencies of current design procedures
• Attend site visits to provide practical feedback to complement completed design work
• Drafting of systems and components
• Coordinate with engineering team and other design disciplines
QUALIFICATIONS:
• College Diploma (Preferred) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology (or equivalent)
• 3 - 5 years drafting/design experience in building systems
• Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Eagerness to learn and accept new challenges
• Solid attention to detail is an asset
• Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel
