Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Housing Operations, the Project Coordinator’s primary objective is to maintain an ongoing relationship with our purchasers during their building experience, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This includes guiding the client through the entire home building process, while providing intermediary support between them and our internal departments as well as our sub-trades and suppliers, while ensuring that their home selections are completed on time.

Responsibilities Include:

• Act as primary point of contact for customers from point of sale through to occupancy of the home.
• Provide an exceptional and consistent customer experience while advising customers on construction details, products, expectations and services. Ensure that selection appointments, paperwork, and activities move according to predetermined schedules and prioritize to avoid delays.
• Review purchase agreement and specifications, ensuring consistency with design documents. Assist purchaser in developing any structural or electrical changes to the home. Clearly communicate and execute any changes through pricing requests and addendums or change orders.
• Monitor the progress of the home on a regular basis; proactively identify issues and solve problems related to the home build. Maintain open communication and timelines with entire team – Sales, Decor, Site, Drafting, Estimating, Purchasing and Warranty. Lead all walkthroughs with the purchaser documenting any issues and ensuring proper health and safety requirements are followed. Administer project management software for each home including schedules and the customer portal.


Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the residential home sector. Demonstrated knowledge of new home construction and structural design with the ability to read and interpret house plans; knowledge of the Ontario Building Code. Experience with residential construction related software; knowledge of Newstar and Buildertrend is an asset, as is relevant post-secondary diploma or degree.
• Demonstrated customer service skills with excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to professionally deal with customers, trades and suppliers, and build relationships with clients.
• Strong commitment to communication, teamwork and focus on delivering excellent customer service and business results in a process-driven environment.
• Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to work under pressure, problem solve, resolve conflict, demonstrate excellent organizational skills, prioritize, make decisions and meet deadlines.
