FACILITY AND EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Key focus:
  • Responsible for the overall maintaince and function of production process and quality by ensuring operation of machinery, automation and mechanical equipment.
  • Maintaining, monitoring and troubleshooting all facility systems including heating, lighting, plumbing and ventilation in a hands-on capacity while supervising and training individuals in this department. 
We require an experienced Facility and Equipment Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for:
  • Inspecting and identifying building and equipment for needed repair and maintenance.
  • Establishing and maintaining a preventative maintenacne program.
  • Planning, organizing, direct, control and evaluate facility projects to improve or modify facility.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot process systems including cooling, HVAC.
  • Schedule, assign, and perform the installation, maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment and electrical and mechanical systems. Duties may relate to carpentry, electrical, plumbing, heating/cooling, ventilation and roofing.
  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic systems, and production machines; following drawings, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.
  • Monitor and follow up on work completed by contractors and other technicians advising manager on deficiencies.
  • Prepares and submits reports as required.
  • Allocation and supervision of staff and resources. 
     
Do you have?
  • University degree – discipline related to facilities operation and maintenance
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory and hands-on experience working in an injection molding environment with strong knowledge of tool and mold design. 
     
Successful candidate will also:
  • Have supervision and technical experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Ability to set up, operate, and process 70 to 250 tons injection molding units
  • Be proficient with computers, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written communication
  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Be proficient with technical specifications and blueprint reading; electrical, heating, and plumbing systems
  • Be "hands-on" and assist in completing maintenance work
  • Have manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools and power tools
  • Possess previous experience with building monitoring systems
