Position Summary:
Use Solidworks to create design details and prints. Verify and validate design concepts through 3d modeling.  Use advance methods and techniques to produce designs efficiently and accurately.
Essential Job Functions (listing most important first):
	Create and update designs accurately in Solidworks and Autocad as required
	Create and update MRP BOM’s
	Create and update assembly instructions
	Verify, validate and review designs, BOM’s, prints and assembly instructions
	Estimate time to task completion
	Aid in the selection of materials for the manufacturing, assembly and testing of the product
	Other work as assigned within position capabilities
Essential Job Requirements:
EDUCATION		College diploma in mechanical field preferred. Solidworks certification a plus
EXPERIENCE		1 to 2 years minimum experience in Solidworks, document revision control and technical writing
PREFERRED SKILLS			Proficient in Solidworks 2014, 3D modeling & drafting Proficient Microsoft Office 2010+ Able to read, understand and apply procedures Good understanding of written/spoken English Flexibility and ability to learn new skills Must be able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure Ability to work with minimum supervision. Familiarity with electrical assembly, soldering, metal fabrication, machining and manufacturing production. Attention to detail, striving for 100% accuracy in finished documentation Adaptable to change, learns quickly and independent Experience in electrical/electronics a plus
