Job Description:
- Rotating shifts: days, afternoons and midnights.
- Maintain production lines to meet production requirements.
- Preventative Maintenance.
- Robotics-ABB and Motoman (teach and troubleshoot).
- Servo Programming (teach and troubleshoot).
- Trouble shoot high pressure water jet machinery.
- Omron and Automation Direct PLCs (troubleshoot and program).
- Machine/Facility Wiring-various voltages (sensors, lights etc.).
- Manage spare parts-inventory awareness and organization.
- Pneumatics-familiarity with SMC Cylinders, hosing, valves, regulators/flow control and associated connections.
- Mechanical/hydraulic/electrical troubleshooting.
- Facilities maintenance (general upkeep up the plant).
- Continuous improvement (kaizen activities).
- Other activities as required.
Education:
- Electrician Certification (PLC programming, HMI programming)
Skills and Experience Needed:
- Focus on PLC programming, HMI programming and associated logic/de-bug (2+ years experience).
- 2+ years experience as a Millwright or Electrician.
- Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, basic electricity and strong mechanical aptitude.
- Proven machine operation troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Understands the “big picture” and how actions affect the rest of the organization.
- Energetic, Self driven / motivated to continuously improve.
- Automotive manufacturing experience is an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Team Player.
