Based in London, Ontario, PHSS supports more than 200 individuals in more than 60 locations across Ontario, providing 24-hour residential supports, day and overnight respite, specialized complex medical care and intensive behavioural supports, recreational programs, and support for individuals living at home with their families. By offering home-based supports, PHSS provides an alternative to institutional care by reducing the pressure on hospitals and institutions and in many cases, substantially reduce the cost of care.

Working in partnership with Prime Management Group Inc., PHSS is seeking a collaborative, analytical, and reliable IT Help Desk and Customer Service Technician to offer exceptional technical support and customer service assistance to staff and management at PHSS’ head office as well as all residential locations. The IT Help Desk and Customer Service Technician will be responsible for providing hands on support to users at all organizational levels within a Microsoft Windows environment. Additionally, they will be the main point of contact for the organization for all technical issues and assist in troubleshooting and solving problems related to computer hardware, software, components, and network connectivity. This includes but is not limited to desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and MS Office products. This solutions-oriented individual will also research and learn new technologies to offer suggestions and input for usage or purchase decisions.

This proven customer service driven individual will also be responsible for resolving technical problems with network, routers, APs and other systems. Moreover, they will handle database management including data entry as well as creating and editing reports and queries. Lastly, this team-oriented technician will collaborate with other organizations to support the organizations technological growth.

The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary education in an IT related field/discipline and have 2+ years previous related experience using Active Directory. The successful candidate will have technical proficiency with MS Office suite, Teamviewer, anti-virus, Windows 7/10, Microsoft Exchange & Office 365, as well as knowledge of switching, routing, WAN and remote access. An understanding of database structures and technologies (MS Access), Windows Server and the accompanying enterprise applications, IIS, and file servers will be essential.

Additionally, the successful candidate will utilize their problem-solving and communication skills to coach/support all inquiries in person, via phone, email, and text. Moreover, this technical professional should be highly motivated, detail oriented, organized, and dependable with excellent time management and interpersonal skills. Experience in a customer focussed non-profit sector is preferred.
