Our client located in London (recognized globally) is in search of a Tool and Die maker to join their team on a permanent basis. If you’re looking to become a valued member of a team that continues to increase business year after year this is the opportunity for you.
Main Aim of Job:
Perform Preventative Maintenance, cleaning, repair, fixture troubleshooting and project work in a manufacturing operation in a Production Environment involving Laser welding and riveting.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform regular PM work on all fixtures
• Will also have Knowledge in Calibrating and adjusting the gauges
• Support your team member, upon request, during breaks or Escalation.
• Provide technical support to the downtime problems
• Complete required documentation in regards to PM’s calibrations, repairs
• Complete all sheets related to downtime.
• Provide backup support to Press Area Tool and Die team as necessary
• Project work outside of the department can be completed as available.
• Continuous improvement initiatives, e-mail to Pre-Productions Manager for review.
• Material & Tooling required for purchase- e-mail the Tool & Die Floater Cleanliness-
Formal Education / Course Of Study
Grade 12, Tool & Die License
Professional experience (years, function)
5 year of tool and die experience in a production environment, focus on fixture work
Specialized knowledge and skills
• Clear verbal and written communication
• Knowledge in working with automation
